Telefoonaansluitdoos ShiverPeaks 74240 8/8 opbouw voor 2 aansluitlijnen

The ShiverPeaks 74240 surface-mounted telephone connection box (8/8) is a compact enclosure designed to terminate and route two subscriber lines. It provides eight connection points per side in a robust housing intended for wall mounting, enabling neat separation of incoming and outgoing pairs and straightforward access for maintenance or rearrangement of wiring. The housing is intended for residential and small-business telephony where surface-mounted cabling and clear line demarcation are required.

Advantages

The unit supports two separate subscriber lines with clearly arranged terminals for easy identification and wiring. Its surface-mounted design simplifies installation on walls without the need to recess the box into the structure. The compact form factor conserves space while providing a durable mounting point that protects terminations from accidental disturbance. Terminals are arranged to allow straightforward pair management and reduce the risk of cross-connections during installation or servicing.

Suitable for

• Termination of two analogue or digital subscriber telephone lines in homes
• Small office telephony installations requiring surface-mounted wiring
• Temporary or retrofit installations where in-wall wiring is impractical
• Situations needing clear separation of incoming and outgoing pairs for maintenance

Key specifications

• Configuration: 8 connection points per side (8/8) for two subscriber lines
• Mounting type: surface-mounted enclosure for wall installation
• Capacity: supports two independent telephone subscriber lines
• Housing: compact, durable enclosure providing protection for terminations
• Wiring access: terminal layout designed for straightforward pair hooking and maintenance

How to use

Mount the enclosure on a flat wall surface using appropriate fasteners for the substrate. Route incoming outside plant or provider cables and internal subscriber cables to the enclosure entry points, then terminate each pair to the corresponding terminals according to the wiring standard in use. Verify continuity and correct pair mapping after termination. Close the enclosure to protect the terminations and label each subscriber line to aid future identification.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant conductors and ensure proper strain relief on all incoming and outgoing cables. Follow local telecommunication regulations and wiring color codes when connecting lines. For installations near electrical wiring, maintain recommended separation distances to avoid interference.
