The RAM Mounts X-Grip with Low Profile Tough-Claw Base is a compact phone mount designed for secure attachment to motorcycle handlebars. The mount combines a small Tough-Claw base with a universal X-Grip cradle that holds most smartphones without covering them with foam pads or bulky plastic. The X-Grip expands and contracts to fit a range of device sizes, rotates 360 degrees for flexible viewing angles and includes a device tether recommended for outdoor use. Verify your phone dimensions including any case or sleeve to ensure compatibility.

Advantages

The X-Grip cradle provides strong holding power through its four-leg design while leaving the device visible and accessible. The low profile Tough-Claw base enables a secure clamp-on attachment to handlebars without taking up excessive space. The 360-degree rotation and included tether add versatility and extra security during rides. The mount is lightweight and finished in black for a discreet appearance.

Suitable for

  • Mounting mobile phones and smartphones on motorcycle handlebars
  • Outdoor use where a tether is needed for additional security
  • Situations requiring adjustable viewing angle and quick device removal

Key specifications

  • Type: Passive holder
  • Mounting base: Low profile Tough-Claw clamp for handlebars
  • Cradle design: Universal X-Grip four-leg expandable cradle
  • Rotation: 360 degrees
  • Included accessory: Device tether for outdoor applications
  • Color: Black
  • Weight: 0.23 kg
  • Intended use: Motorcycle

How to use

Clamp the Tough-Claw base securely to the motorcycle handlebar at the chosen position, ensuring the clamp is tightened according to the handlebar diameter and the base is stable. Expand the X-Grip cradle, place the smartphone into the four-leg frame so it is held firmly, and release the cradle to let it contract around the device. Attach the included tether to the device for added security if riding in exposed conditions. Adjust the 360-degree rotation to set the preferred viewing angle.

Recommendations

Check the overall dimensions of your smartphone including any case, sleeve or skin before mounting to confirm fit. Periodically inspect the clamp and tether for wear and re-tighten as necessary to maintain secure attachment while riding.
