Telefoonkabel ShiverPeaks BS76850-100 100 m grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS76850-100 telephone cable is a 100 m round grey cable designed to provide reliable wired connectivity for telephony and low-speed data applications. Manufactured with durable outer insulation and a consistent conductor layout, this cable is intended for installation in homes, offices, and light commercial environments where a standard telephone connection is required. The neutral grey jacket helps the cable blend into ceilings, walls, and office furniture while maintaining signal integrity over its length.

Advantages

This telephone cable offers a long 100 m length suitable for extended runs between communication points without intermediate joins. Its round construction and smooth outer jacket facilitate routing through conduits and around corners, while the durable insulation improves resistance to abrasion and everyday wear. The cable is produced to provide consistent electrical characteristics along its length, supporting clear voice transmission and stable low-frequency signalling.

Suitable for

• Wired telephone connections in residential environments
• Office telephony and reception desk wiring
• Small business voice networks and PBX extensions
• Temporary or permanent runs where a 100 m cable length is required

Key specifications

• Length: 100 meters
• Shape: Round cable
• Color: Grey outer jacket
• Typical use: Telephone voice and low-speed signalling
• Construction: Multi-conductor with protective insulation

How to use

Measure the required run and cut the cable to length, allowing extra for routing and termination. Strip the outer jacket carefully to expose the conductors without nicking them. Terminate the conductors on compatible telephone plugs, wall jacks, or PBX punch-down blocks following standard wiring color codes. Route the cable through conduits, cable trays, or along skirting boards and secure it at regular intervals to prevent strain. Test the connection with a telephone handset or line tester to confirm voice quality and continuity before completing the installation.

Recommendations

Avoid routing the telephone cable in parallel with high-voltage power cables for extended distances to reduce the risk of interference. Use appropriate cable clips or conduit to prevent mechanical stress and protect termination points from moisture and dust. For installations requiring data networking or higher bandwidth, consider using dedicated data cabling instead of telephone cable.
