Tesa Insect Stop Standard 55680 raamhor 1500x1800mm wit

The Tesa Insect Stop Standard (model 55680, article 55680-000000-07) is a ready-to-fit white polyester window insect screen measuring 1500 mm wide by 1800 mm tall, designed to keep mosquitoes, flies, spiders, and other insects out while allowing fresh air to circulate freely. It attaches to standard window frames using self-adhesive hook-and-loop tape — no drilling, no tools, and no permanent modifications required. Suitable for most inward-opening windows and ideal for bedrooms, kitchens, and living areas.

Advantages

The self-adhesive hook-and-loop attachment system makes installation quick and completely reversible, leaving no marks or residue on the window frame when removed. The fine polyester mesh is UV-resistant for lasting durability and can be cut to any smaller size with scissors to achieve a perfect fit. The screen is also washable, ensuring long-term hygiene without replacement. High air permeability maintains natural ventilation while providing effective barrier protection throughout insect season.

Suitable for

• Bedrooms and children's rooms requiring insect protection during warm months
• Kitchens and dining areas where flies and other insects are common nuisances
• Rental and temporary accommodation where drilling or permanent fixtures are not permitted

How to use

Clean and dry the window frame surface where the hook-and-loop tape will be applied. Cut the tape to the required length and press firmly onto the frame. Attach the insect screen to the hook-and-loop tape, pulling it taut to avoid wrinkles. If the screen is larger than the window opening, trim to the correct size with scissors. To clean, remove the screen and rinse under lukewarm water; allow to air dry before reattaching.

Recommendations

For multi-window installations choose the Tesa Insect Stop Standard for the excellent combination of value, ease of installation, and residue-free removal; always allow extra width and height when cutting to size, and press the hook-and-loop tape firmly for at least 24 hours before first use to ensure a secure bond.
