Theben PIRA TC AP corridor-bewegingsmelder (PIR) voor plafondmontage opbouw, wit 1030205

In a long, narrow corridor of an office building, the Theben PIRA TC AP ensures lights switch on automatically when someone enters and switch off after they leave, saving energy and enhancing convenience. This passive infrared (PIR) motion detector is specifically designed for ceiling surface mounting in corridors, offering reliable presence detection over a range of up to 30 metres by 4 metres at a mounting height of 3 metres.

Why choose it

The PIRA TC AP is engineered for demanding corridor environments. Its 360° detection pattern, tailored for elongated spaces, minimises blind spots and false triggers. The adjustable brightness threshold and time delay allow precise customisation to match ambient light conditions and occupancy patterns, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. With an IP54 rating, it withstands dust and splashing water, making it suitable for semi-outdoor corridors or areas with occasional moisture. The potential-free contact offers flexibility for integration with various lighting loads, including LED systems.

Ideal use cases

• Office corridors and hallways
• Hotel and apartment building passageways
• Stairwells and access corridors
• Covered walkways and entrance areas
• Any elongated space requiring automatic lighting control

Good to know

Installation is straightforward with surface mounting on ceilings. The device includes a test mode for verifying detection coverage during setup. For advanced configuration, optional remote controls (theSenda S or theSenda P) allow wireless adjustment of parameters without accessing the unit. The halogen-free housing aligns with modern environmental standards.
