Touchpanel-bediening Gira G1 (2e gen) 208705, zwart – smart-home-centrale zonder wlan

The Gira G1 (2nd Gen) 208705 is a wall-mounted touch panel in black designed as a central control unit for Gira KNX smart-home systems. Supplied without WLAN, this version focuses on local operation and visualisation of connected functions via the wired KNX installation or other network connections. The device provides a capacitive touch display and an intuitive interface for controlling lighting, shading, HVAC and predefined scenes, suitable for residential and commercial environments where a wired or alternative network topology is preferred.

Advantages

The device offers a compact wall-mounted design with an easy-to-read touchscreen and responsive control for local KNX functions. Without an integrated WLAN module, it reduces potential wireless configuration steps and focuses on secure wired communication. The panel supports direct visualisation of system states and scene control, enabling coordinated management of multiple functions from a single interface.

How to use

Install the Gira G1 according to the manufacturer’s mounting instructions in a flush-mounted wall box connected to the KNX bus or other permitted network. After physical mounting and wiring, configure the device in the KNX engineering tool or the system’s configuration software to assign group addresses, scene definitions and visualisation pages. Use the capacitive touchscreen to select rooms, activate scenes, adjust shading and modify HVAC setpoints. Local operation does not require a WLAN connection; system changes and states are exchanged over the wired KNX network or the chosen wired infrastructure.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, place the unit in a location with easy access for users and ensure the KNX bus and power supply are installed according to professional KNX guidelines. If remote or mobile access is required, pair the device with an appropriate network gateway or controller that supports secure remote connections, since this model does not include WLAN. Keep firmware and system configurations up to date using authorised tools to maintain compatibility and security.
