TP-Link InSight S655I IP-beveiligingscamera binnen 2560 x 1920 pixels plafond/wand

The TP-Link InSight S655I is an indoor IP security camera with a 2560 x 1920 resolution and a metal housing designed for ceiling or wall mounting. Its fisheye lens offers 360° coverage and flexible display modes that allow one camera to function as multiple views, simplifying installation while covering wide indoor areas. The camera supports wired connectivity and employs a CMOS sensor to deliver clear images suitable for monitoring rooms, corridors and open indoor spaces.

Advantages

The fisheye design provides 360° coverage and a 4-in-1 display mode that can simulate four separate cameras for comprehensive monitoring. Built-in smart video enhancement technologies include True WDR for balanced exposure in high-contrast scenes, Smart IR for controlled infrared illumination at varying distances, 3D DNR for frame-based noise reduction, and automatic white balance for natural colours. Efficient H.265+ compression reduces bandwidth and storage needs compared with H.264 and H.265 while preserving image quality. Durable metal housing and CLR CMOS imaging ensure reliable indoor performance.

Suitable for

• Monitoring offices, retail spaces and lobbies
• Surveillance of corridors and open-plan indoor areas
• Ceiling- or wall-mounted installations in commercial and residential interiors

How to use

Mount the camera on a ceiling or wall at a suitable height to maximise the fisheye view and secure the unit using appropriate fasteners. Connect the camera to a wired network and power source following the manufacturer’s installation instructions. Use the camera’s display modes to switch between fisheye, single-view and 4PTZ (four simulated camera) mode to focus on specific areas. Configure exposure, IR and noise reduction settings via the camera interface or management software to suit ambient lighting conditions.

Recommendations

Install at a central location for full 360° coverage; adjust display mode to 4PTZ when you need multi-angle monitoring. For low-light scenes, enable Smart IR and 3D DNR and verify True WDR settings to preserve detail in high-contrast areas. Ensure regular firmware updates and use H.265+ compatible NVR or storage to take advantage of reduced bandwidth and storage requirements.
