Compact and lightweight
Pack light! The credit-card size ESD270C, with mere 9.6mm in height, fits perfectly in your wallet or purse, and takes up little space in your briefcase. The anti-scratch coating means the external SSD will look sharp even after all the miles. With a reflective black case, you'll be both savvy and stylish.

The great compatibility makes it a convenient and efficient option for those looking to expand their storage space.

Type-A and Type-C cables included
The ESD270C comes with both a USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A cable to accommodate desktops and laptops featuring the USB Type-C or USB 3.1 interface.

Powerful 256-bit AES encryption
Transcend’s ESD270C supports 256-bit AES encryption to securely and reliably protect data at the hardware level. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a cryptographic algorithm defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Encryption and decryption are processed strictly within the SSD controller and completely independent of any OS or program, making hardware-based AES impossible to decipher.

One touch to back up all files
The ESD270C is equipped with a convenient auto-backup button for instant data backup when used with Transcend Elite software.

Extreme protection, advanced security
Transcend's storage devices provide exclusive disk lock and security functions, which work on both Windows and Android systems. With Transcend Elite software, you can protect your entire drive and the files inside with passwords, meeting the high standard of information security.

Manage data with Transcend Elite
Transcend Elite is an advanced software package compatible with macOS, Windows OS, and Android system that helps you manage data. Available as both a desktop and mobile app, it can be downloaded for free from Transcend’s official website and from Google Play. Transcend Elite features backup and restore, data encryption, cloud backup, and disk locking functions.

How to use

Connect the SSD to your device using the supplied USB Type-C cable or the Type-C to Type-A adapter cable depending on the host port. When connected, the drive appears as an external storage device; you can copy or move files through your operating system’s file manager. To enable one-touch backup, install Transcend Elite software on the host device and configure the backup settings. For encrypted use, set a password through Transcend Elite to activate hardware 256-bit AES protection.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, connect the ESD270C directly to a USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 port when possible and avoid hubs that do not support Gen 2 speeds. Regularly update Transcend Elite and keep a secondary backup of critical data in a separate location.
