Turret-camera Hikvision DS-2CD2347G3-LIY 4MP 2,8mm lens, buiten PoE-bewaking

Hikvision DS-2CD2347G3-LIY is a compact turret camera offering 4MP resolution with a 2.8mm fixed wide-angle lens, built for outdoor surveillance and Power over Ethernet (PoE) installations. The unit provides clear daytime color imaging and reliable low-light performance for perimeter, entrance and parking area monitoring. Its turret form factor and weather-resistant housing enable flexible wall or ceiling mounting while maintaining a discreet appearance suitable for small to medium CCTV systems.

Advantages

The camera delivers high-resolution 4MP imaging that improves detail capture across wider scenes compared with lower-resolution models. The 2.8mm fixed lens provides a broad field of view ideal for general area coverage. Integrated PoE support simplifies installation by combining data and power on a single Ethernet cable, reducing wiring complexity. The outdoor-rated housing ensures resistance to weather and dust, and the turret design facilitates easy aiming and stable mounting.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and fence monitoring
• Building entrances and lobbies
• Parking lots and driveways
• Small to medium retail and office surveillance
• Residential property exterior monitoring

Key specifications

• Image sensor resolution: 4 megapixels
• Lens: 2.8 mm fixed wide-angle
• Network interface: Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Optics: turret-style housing with adjustable camera head
• Imaging modes: color daytime imaging and enhanced low-light performance
• Environmental protection: outdoor-rated weather resistance
• Mounting: wall or ceiling compatible

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable surface such as a wall or ceiling using suitable anchors and screws for the installation surface. Connect the camera to a PoE-enabled network switch or injector using a standard Ethernet cable to provide both power and network connectivity. Configure network settings and recording parameters through the compatible network video recorder (NVR) or Hikvision-compatible management software, adjusting exposure, white balance and region-specific motion detection zones as needed. Position and tilt the turret head to frame the desired coverage area, then verify image focus and angle on the monitoring station.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, install the camera under a small overhang where possible to reduce direct exposure to rain and sun. Use shielded Cat5e/Cat6 cables for PoE to minimize interference on longer runs and ensure the power budget of the PoE switch matches the camera’s requirements. Regularly check lens cleanliness and perform firmware updates via the official management software to maintain security and functionality.
