UNITEK Cat6 UTP RJ45 verlengkabel M-F 5m zwart

A technician managing a crowded patch panel can quickly add 5 meters of reach without replacing existing cabling with this UNITEK Cat6 UTP extension cable. The male-to-female RJ45 design acts as a simple, reliable inline coupler, ideal for connecting two shorter cables or reaching a device that is just out of range. Home users can also relocate a router or access point to improve Wi-Fi coverage.

Key specifications

• Category 6 performance with UTP (unshielded twisted pair) construction
• Length: 5 meters (16.4 feet)
• Connectors: RJ45 male to RJ45 female (8P8C)
• Gold-plated contacts (50 micron) for corrosion resistance and reliable signal transfer
• Supports data rates up to 1000 Mbps (1 Gigabit Ethernet) and bandwidth up to 250 MHz
• 24 AWG stranded bare copper conductors for flexibility and durability
• PVC jacket for everyday protection
• Compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T networks
• RoHS compliant

Why choose it

The UNITEK Cat6 extension cable delivers Gigabit performance in a simple, plug-and-play format. Its stranded copper conductors make it more flexible than solid-core cables, so it can be routed around corners and through cable management without breaking. The gold-plated contacts resist oxidation, ensuring a stable connection over time. Because it is unshielded, it is lighter and easier to handle than shielded alternatives, while still meeting Cat6 specifications for typical office and home environments.

Ideal use cases

• Extending an existing network connection in tight spaces, such as behind a desk or in a server rack
• Connecting two shorter Ethernet cables to create a longer run
• Relocating a Wi-Fi router or access point to a more central location for better coverage
• Providing temporary network access at events or workstations

Good to know

This extension cable is backward compatible with older network standards, so it works seamlessly with existing Cat5 and Cat5e infrastructure. The unshielded design is suitable for most indoor environments where electromagnetic interference is minimal. For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines over long distances.
