Universeelmes Gedore 6698300

The Gedore 6698300 utility knife is a precision tool for stripping round cables from 4 to 28 mm and for cutting flat cables and cable jackets. It features a hooked blade that separates cable insulation and a pivoting internal blade (E-4528) with adjustable cutting depth. The design allows the blade to switch automatically from all-round to elongated cut so the user does not need to set the knife down during operation.

Advantages

Compact and lightweight (155 g) construction provides ease of handling and reduced fatigue during repeated use. An ergonomic handle improves grip and control for precise cutting. The hooked blade and adjustable pivoting internal knife offer accurate stripping across a wide cable diameter range (4–28 mm). Durable materials maintain blade sharpness and reliability for professional and DIY applications.

Key specifications

How to use

Place the cable into the appropriate position and engage the hooked blade to score and separate the insulation or jacket. For round cables, select the correct diameter range and perform an all-round or elongated cut; the blade will switch automatically between these modes. Adjust the cutting depth of the pivoting internal knife E-4528 as needed to avoid nicking the conductor. Work with steady, controlled motions and check the cut before pulling off insulation.

Recommendations

Use eye protection and follow standard electrical safety procedures. Inspect the blade before use and replace it if damaged or dull. Store the knife in a dry place and keep away from children. For precise results, adjust the pivoting knife depth to match the cable insulation thickness.
