USB-flashdrive Kingston 256GB USB Type-A IronKey Locker Plus 50

Kingston IronKey Locker+ 50 (LP50) is a hardware-encrypted USB 3.1 flash drive that uses XTS-AES 256-bit encryption to protect stored data. The drive includes firmware safeguards against BadUSB and provides protection from brute-force password attacks. LP50 supports a multi-password setup with Admin and User accounts, offers optional automatic USBtoCloud® backup for accessing drive files from personal cloud storage, and works on both Windows and macOS without requiring additional software installation.

Advantages

The drive offers strong hardware-based XTS-AES 256-bit encryption and signed firmware to mitigate BadUSB risks. Administrator and User password roles allow recovery of access by resetting the User password if needed. A new passphrase mode permits PINs or longer phrases (10–64 characters) in addition to the Complex mode (6–16 characters using 3 of 4 character sets). How to use

Plug the Locker+ 50 into a compatible USB port on a Windows or macOS computer and follow the on-drive prompts to set up an Admin and optional User password using either Complex or Passphrase mode. Enable the virtual keyboard when entering passwords for additional protection against keyloggers, and use the eye icon if you need to reveal the typed password to reduce entry errors. If USBtoCloud® is enabled, follow the Cloud setup prompts on the drive to connect to your personal cloud account for optional automatic backup.

Recommendations

Use a strong Admin password and store it securely; the Admin account can reset the User password to restore access. Choose passphrase mode for memorability or Complex mode for shorter, mixed-character passwords. Regularly back up important files to your selected personal cloud provider if you enable USBtoCloud®.
