USB-flashstation ADATA SC610 500 GB USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) 550/500 MB/s, zwart

The SC610 portable SSD combines compact design with high-speed USB 3.2 Gen2 connectivity, offering up to 10 Gbps theoretical bandwidth and backward compatibility with USB 2.0. With read/write performance comparable to internal SSDs, the drive delivers transfer speeds up to 550/500 MB/s and supports capacities up to 2000 GB, making it suitable for storing large video files, photos, game libraries and other data. Actual transfer rates depend on the host system, drivers (UASP recommended) and operating environment.

Advantages

The SC610 provides fast sequential speeds (up to 550/500 MB/s) for rapid file access and transfers, significantly outperforming typical flash drives. Its capless push-out USB connector eliminates removable caps and the cableless design ensures convenient, compact storage. Large maximum capacity (up to 2000 GB) accommodates 4K video, high-resolution photos and extensive game libraries. Plug-and-play operation enables immediate use on compatible systems.

Key specifications

• Interface: USB 3.2 Gen2 (backward compatible with USB 2.0)
• Theoretical bandwidth: up to 10 Gbps
• Sequential speed (max): up to 550 MB/s read, 500 MB/s write
• Capless push-out USB connector, cableless design
• Maximum capacity: up to 2000 GB
• Performance note: measured in lab with USB 3.2 Gen2 host and UASP driver; real-world performance varies

How to use

Connect the SC610 directly to a host device supporting USB 3.2 Gen2 for optimal performance; the drive is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports at reduced speeds. No external cable or cap is required thanks to the built-in push-out USB connector. For best throughput, use a PC with UASP driver support and copy or move files as needed; safely eject the drive via the operating system before removal to avoid data loss.

Recommendations

For fastest transfer speeds, use a USB 3.2 Gen2 port and ensure the host system has UASP support. Keep multiple backups of important data and safely eject the device before disconnecting. The listed transfer examples (e.g., ~10 GB 4K video in ~20 seconds) are lab-based estimates and may differ depending on system configuration and environmental conditions.
