USB-hub Renkforce 13+1 poorten model 1299048, aluminium behuizing, wandmontage

The Renkforce USB hub Model 1299048 offers 13 downstream USB ports and one uplink port in a robust aluminium housing designed for wall mounting. It expands a single USB connection into multiple ports for peripherals, external storage and charging devices while providing a compact, fixed installation option for offices, workshops or home media centers. The aluminium casing supports passive heat dissipation and a tidy cable layout when mounted on a wall or vertical surface.

Advantages

The aluminium housing combines durability with improved heat dissipation compared to plastic enclosures and enables stable, long-term installations. Having 13 downstream ports plus a dedicated uplink port allows simultaneous connection of many USB peripherals without frequent re-plugging. Wall-mountable design reduces desk clutter and secures the hub in a fixed location, while the metal casing provides a neat, professional appearance that integrates with racks, cabinets or behind monitors.

Suitable for

• Office workstations with multiple peripherals (keyboard, mouse, printers, scanners)
• Shared charging stations for small devices in meeting rooms or reception areas
• Workshops and labs requiring fixed connections for measurement instruments or controllers
• Home media centers and networked storage setups that need several USB drives
• Retail or kiosk installations where a secure, wall-mounted hub is needed

Key specifications

• Number of downstream USB ports: 13
• Number of uplink ports: 1
• Housing material: aluminium
• Mounting option: wall-mountable
• Intended connections: USB peripherals and storage devices
• Form factor: compact rectangular enclosure suitable for vertical installation

How to use

Mount the hub on a suitable vertical surface using appropriate screws or fixtures, ensuring access to airflow around the aluminium housing. Connect the hub's uplink port to a host computer or USB hub controller using a compatible USB cable. Attach peripherals and storage devices to the downstream ports. For power-hungry devices, use externally powered USB ports or a powered USB hub in addition to this device to ensure sufficient current; check the power requirements of connected devices before prolonged use. Arrange connected cables to avoid strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For stable operation with multiple external hard drives or high-current accessories, use a powered USB source or add a dedicated powered hub in the chain. Avoid placing the hub in confined spaces with restricted airflow to maintain passive cooling effectiveness of the aluminium housing. Periodically check cable strain relief and mounting hardware to maintain a secure installation.
