USB-hub Xiaomi XMDS05YM 5-in-1 Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 1 wit

The Xiaomi XMDS05YM USB Hub converts a single Type-C port into five external ports — three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one Type-C port and one HDMI port — providing a compact solution for connecting multiple peripherals and external displays. The hub is powered via the USB connection and has a slim white enclosure with dimensions of approximately 112.5 mm × 39 mm × 10.4 mm.

Advantages

The hub supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) data transfer on Type-A ports and a versatile Type-C port that handles both data and PD charging up to 100 W. The HDMI port supports up to 4K@60Hz video output for high-resolution displays. The device is broadly compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android systems and offers plug-and-play hot-swappable convenience without additional drivers.

Suitable for

• Connecting external storage drives, keyboard, mouse and other USB peripherals
• Powering or charging laptops via PD up to 100 W while using peripherals
• Connecting an external monitor or projector using HDMI up to 4K@60Hz
• Expanding ports for ultrabooks, tablets and smartphones with Type-C ports

How to use

Connect the hub to a host device using its Type-C host interface. Plug USB peripherals into the Type-A ports and connect a display to the HDMI port. If you need to charge the host device while using peripherals, connect a PD-capable USB-C power adapter to the hub’s Type-C port. The hub supports hot-plugging, so devices can be connected or disconnected while the host is powered on.

Recommendations

Use a PD-certified USB-C power adapter when charging at high power levels and ensure connected HDMI cables and monitors support the desired 4K@60Hz mode. For stable high-speed transfers, connect high-performance storage to the USB 3.0 ports and avoid using cables or adapters that may limit throughput.
