USB Type-C-hub CANYON DS-17 — HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen 1 A, USB-C, MicroSD, 10000 Mbit/s, grijs

CANYON DS-17 is a compact USB Type-C hub that expands a single USB-C host port into multiple outputs: HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB Type-C and a MicroSD card slot. The hub supports data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s and HDMI video output up to 3840×2160 at 60 Hz. Bus-powered via the USB connection, it is designed for laptops, tablets and compatible Android devices to add external displays, peripherals and memory card access while maintaining a small, grey enclosure and lightweight profile.

Advantages

The hub provides a combination of video output and data ports in a single compact accessory, enabling connection of an external monitor via HDMI while simultaneously attaching USB-A peripherals and accessing MicroSD cards. With support for HDMI 4K at 60 Hz and USB 3.2 Gen 1 data rates, it allows faster file transfers and high-resolution display output without requiring an additional power adapter for typical use. Its grey finish and lightweight construction make it easy to carry with mobile devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting a laptop or tablet to an external monitor for presentations or extended desktop
• Attaching USB-A peripherals such as a mouse, keyboard or external drives
• Reading and transferring files from MicroSD memory cards
• Expanding ports of compatible Android devices with USB-C host support

How to use

Connect the CANYON DS-17 hub to a device with a USB Type-C host port. Plug an HDMI cable from the hub to an external monitor to enable video output up to 4K at 60 Hz, and connect USB-A peripherals or a MicroSD card to access data. The hub draws power over the host USB-C connection; in most typical configurations no separate power supply is required. Ensure the host device supports USB-C host mode and the required video output protocols for HDMI mirroring or extension.

Recommendations

To ensure stable 4K@60Hz output and high-speed data transfers, use high-quality HDMI and USB cables and confirm your host device supports the necessary USB-C alt mode and USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds. For heavy power demands or multiple power-hungry peripherals, consider a powered hub or a host device with sufficient power delivery capability.
