UV-filter walimex pro slank Super DMC 58 mm – slank UV-beschermglas

UV Filter walimex pro Slim Super DMC 58mm is a slim protective ultraviolet glass filter designed for lenses with a 58mm thread. The filter reduces UV haze and helps maintain image clarity while acting as a physical barrier that protects the front element from dust, scratches and moisture. Its slim profile is engineered to minimize vignetting on wide-angle lenses while preserving color fidelity and contrast for landscape, travel and everyday photography.

Advantages

The walimex pro Slim Super DMC 58mm combines multi-coated glass with a thin profile to deliver reliable UV attenuation alongside mechanical protection for your lens. Anti-reflective coatings reduce flare and ghosting, while the durable, low-profile metal ring reduces the risk of mechanical vignetting on wide-angle optics. The filter is easy to mount and remove and does not alter focal length or exposure settings.

Key specifications

• Thread size: 58 mm
• Filter type: Ultraviolet (UV) protective glass
• Profile: Slim/low-profile metal ring to reduce vignetting
• Coating: Multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to minimize flare and maintain contrast
• Optical characteristic: Neutral transmission with reduced UV wavelengths
• Mechanical: Lightweight and durable construction for everyday use

How to use

Screw the walimex pro Slim Super DMC 58mm onto the front of a lens with a 58mm filter thread until it is lightly finger-tight. Avoid over-tightening to prevent difficulty in removal. Use the filter as a permanent protective element on the lens or add and remove it as needed for different shooting situations. Clean the glass with a lens cloth or appropriate cleaning solution to maintain image quality and avoid introducing scratches.

Recommendations

For wide-angle lenses, confirm that the slim profile eliminates mechanical vignetting before extended use. Store the filter in a protective case when not mounted to prevent dust and scratches. When shooting in challenging light, check for residual flare and, if needed, adjust angle or use a lens hood in combination with the filter.
