Vaddio Middle Atlantic U317 - rack - legbord - zwart - 3U - 48,3 cm (19 inch)

AV integrators and IT technicians often face the challenge of neatly housing non-rackmount equipment in a standard 19" rack. The Vaddio Middle Atlantic U317 solves this by providing a sturdy 3U shelf that mounts directly into any standard rack, offering a stable platform for components like small form factor PCs, audio processors, or KVM switches. Its solid steel construction and black powder-coat finish blend seamlessly into professional installations, from corporate boardrooms to data centers.

Key specifications

• 3U rack height for optimal space utilization
• Fits standard 19" (48.3 cm) equipment racks
• 17.75" (45.1 cm) shelf depth supports deep equipment
• Heavy-duty steel construction with powder-coat finish

Why choose it

The U317 is built to last. Its heavy-duty steel frame resists bending and sagging, even when fully loaded. The powder-coat finish resists scratches and corrosion, ensuring a professional appearance over years of use. Unlike flimsy alternatives, this shelf provides a secure, vibration-free platform for sensitive electronics, reducing the risk of damage or disconnection. Installation is straightforward with standard rack screws (not included), making it a favorite among professional installers.

Ideal use cases

• Mounting non-rackmount audio/video equipment in server rooms
• Supporting small UPS units, modems, or routers in network racks
• Creating a stable shelf for test equipment in laboratories
• Organizing tools and accessories in mobile rack cases
• Adding storage space in broadcast or recording studio racks

Good to know

The U317 is a fixed shelf, meaning it does not slide out. For applications requiring easy access to equipment, consider a sliding shelf. The shelf is compatible with all standard 19" racks with square or round mounting holes. It includes mounting hardware for the shelf itself, but rack screws for attaching to the rack rails are typically provided with the rack or purchased separately. The solid surface is ideal for equipment that does not require ventilation from below; for heat-generating devices, ensure adequate airflow around the unit.
