Varta Superlife C wegwerpbatterij zink-kool, C-formaat, 1,5 V, 50 mm

Varta Superlife C is a single-use zinc‑carbon battery in C size (50 mm height, 2.62 cm diameter) that supplies a nominal voltage of 1.5 V and weighs approximately 47.1 g. Designed to deliver reliable energy for low-to-moderate drain devices, this battery provides basic power where a long shelf life and cost-effective replacement are important. The alkaline alternative is not required for every application; the zinc‑carbon chemistry of Superlife C offers economical operation for everyday household electronics.

Advantages

The zinc‑carbon construction offers a balance between affordability and dependable output for devices with modest current draw. With a standard C size form factor, the battery fits common sockets and maintains nominal voltage under typical loads for clocks, remotes and basic toys. Single-use format reduces the need for charging infrastructure or special disposal associated with rechargeable cells when used as intended.

Suitable for

• Remote controls and infrared transmitters
• Wall clocks and alarm clocks
• Battery-powered toys and novelty items
• Flashlights and lanterns for occasional use
• Portable radios and small audio devices with low-to-moderate drain

Key specifications

• Battery chemistry: Zinc‑Carbon (single-use)
• Nominal voltage: 1.5 V
• Size: C (approx. 50 mm height, 26.2 mm diameter)
• Weight: about 47.1 g per cell

How to use

Install the Varta Superlife C battery into the device following the polarity markings (+/−) on the battery compartment. Use a single cell or combinations of cells only as specified by the device manufacturer to achieve the required voltage. Remove the battery from the device if it will not be used for an extended period to avoid leakage. Do not attempt to recharge single-use zinc‑carbon batteries; they are intended for one-time use and should be replaced when the device performance declines.

Recommendations

Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve shelf life. Keep batteries out of reach of children and do not mix new and used batteries or different battery chemistries in the same device. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations for battery recycling or hazardous waste.
