Veiligheidslicht-camera Piper Toucan met radarbewegingsdetectie

Piper Toucan is a security light camera that combines an integrated LED floodlight with a weather-resistant camera and radar motion detection. Designed for outdoor perimeter monitoring, the unit provides motion-triggered illumination and video capture for entryways, driveways and yard areas. The built-in radar sensor detects movement and activates both the light and recording functions to improve visibility and capture events at day or night without the need for additional external sensors.

Advantages

The device integrates illumination and surveillance into a single compact housing, reducing the need for separate fixtures. Radar motion detection offers reliable presence sensing with fewer false triggers from small animals or environmental noise compared with simple PIR sensors. Continuous or event-based video recording ensures that activity is documented, while the floodlight enhances scene clarity for night-time footage. The weather-resistant construction supports outdoor installation and consistent operation in typical residential and small commercial settings.

Suitable for

• Monitoring entryways and porches
• Surveillance of driveways and parking areas
• Perimeter detection around yards and gardens
• Lighting and recording for night-time security

Key specifications

• Integrated LED floodlight for scene illumination
• Camera with day/night capability for video capture
• Radar-based motion detection for presence sensing
• Outdoor-rated housing for weather resistance
• Motion-triggered recording and illumination modes

How to use

Mount the unit in a suitable outdoor location with a clear view of the area to be monitored, typically above doorways or at the edge of a driveway. Aim the camera to cover the primary approach paths and adjust the floodlight angle to illuminate targets without causing glare into adjacent windows. Connect the device to a compatible power source and configure recording, motion sensitivity and illumination settings through the supplied app or configuration interface. Validate radar detection zones and perform a test activation at different distances and times of day to confirm expected behavior.

Recommendations

Position the camera 2–4 meters above ground for optimal radar coverage and imaging; avoid placing it behind large reflective surfaces. Use moderate light intensity settings to balance visibility and energy consumption, and regularly check seals and mounts to maintain weather resistance. For reliable event capture, combine motion-triggered recording with scheduled or continuous recording when monitoring high-traffic areas.
