Ventilator Fractal Design Prisma AL-12 PWM 12 cm wit 500-2000 RPM

The Fractal Design Prisma AL-12 PWM is a 120 mm case fan that combines addressable RGB lighting with PWM speed control for balanced cooling and quiet operation. Rated for 500–2000 RPM and delivering up to 145.62 m³/h airflow, this white fan features a sleeve bearing for durable, low-noise performance and chainable RGB connections for simplified wiring. Compatibility with major motherboard lighting systems and optional physical controllers lets you integrate the fan into coordinated lighting setups.

Advantages

Prisma AL-12 offers six hub-mounted individually addressable RGB LEDs and a white semi-opaque blade and outer ring for uniform illumination. PWM control provides a broad speed range suitable for case cooling, CPU heatsinks and radiators. The design includes aerodynamic stator struts, Trip Wire micro-turbulence features, integrated vibration-damping corners and long-life sleeve (LLS) bearings to minimise noise while maintaining effective airflow. Chainable RGB cables and black sleeved power cables keep cabling tidy.

How to use

Install the fan in your case or on a radiator using the included mounting screws, aligning airflow direction as needed. Connect the 4-pin PWM cable to a motherboard fan header to enable speed control. For lighting, connect the addressable RGB cable to a compatible motherboard RGB header or to an Adjust R1/Adjust 2 controller (sold separately). When chaining multiple Prisma fans, connect RGB cables in series and ensure your controller or motherboard supports the total LED count.

Recommendations

For quiet operation, configure the fan curve in BIOS or via motherboard software to keep idle speeds near 500 RPM and increase RPM under load. When using addressable RGB, verify header pinout and LED capacity in the motherboard manual to avoid overloading the controller. Use rubber-mounted screws or vibration damping corners to reduce chassis noise.
