Verpakkingstape 3M Scotch ExtreMium Invisible 48 mm × 20 m, transparant, sterk hechtend

3M Scotch ExtreMium Invisible 48 mm × 20 m is a clear packing tape engineered for secure sealing of boxes, parcels and general-purpose packaging. The transparent backing minimizes visual impact on printed surfaces and branding, while the strong adhesive provides reliable tack for shipping, storage and moving applications. This roll combines a narrow 48 mm width with a 20 m length to suit small to medium packaging tasks and touch-up closures.

Advantages

The tape offers a near-invisible finish that preserves labels and printed graphics, reducing the need for additional covering or masking. Its strong adhesive formulation adheres to common packaging materials such as corrugated cardboard and kraft paper, delivering durable seals that resist unintentional opening during handling. The backing is tear-resistant and smooth to apply by hand or with a standard tape dispenser, enabling controlled unwind and consistent application.

Suitable for

• Sealing small to medium cardboard boxes for shipping and storage
• Sealing envelopes and padded parcels where discreet appearance is required
• Everyday packaging, moving and warehousing tasks
• Repairing or reinforcing torn packaging edges and flaps

Key specifications

• Color: clear (transparent)
• Width: 48 mm
• Length: 20 m
• Adhesive type: strong, permanent adhesive suitable for paper-based packaging
• Backing: durable, tear-resistant film
• Application: manual or tape dispenser use

How to use

Ensure the surface of the box or parcel is clean, dry and free of dust or loose fibres before applying the tape. Unwind the required length and apply across the seam or flap, pressing firmly along the tape to promote good contact with the substrate. For longer runs or repetitive tasks, use a compatible tape dispenser to cut and apply the tape more efficiently and to obtain a straight, even seal. Overlap tape ends by at least 20–30 mm when sealing box seams for added security.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve adhesive performance. For best results on recycled or dusty corrugated board, press firmly and allow a short dwell time for the adhesive to develop full tack. Dispose of the cardboard core according to local recycling guidelines.
