VGA-naar-Mini DisplayPort-kabel ShiverPeaks BS10-54045, 3 m, vergulde stekkers

ShiverPeaks BS10-54045 is a 3-metre adapter cable with a Mini DisplayPort male connector on one end and a VGA male connector on the other, featuring gold-plated contacts. The cable provides a physical interface to connect Mini DisplayPort-equipped sources—such as laptops or desktops—to legacy VGA displays, projectors or monitors. It supports analogue VGA signalling from a digital Mini DisplayPort output through internal conversion, enabling use of older display hardware without changing source devices.

Advantages

The cable’s gold-plated male connectors improve contact reliability and resist corrosion for sustained signal transfer. With a 3 m length, the adapter offers flexible placement for presentations, meeting rooms and office desks while keeping the source device separate from the display. The wired conversion requires no external power or drivers on most systems and is compatible with equipment that outputs Mini DisplayPort analogue-compatible signals.

Suitable for

• Connecting a Mini DisplayPort laptop or desktop to a VGA monitor
• Connecting Mini DisplayPort-equipped computers to projectors in meeting rooms
• Temporary setups where legacy VGA displays are in use
• Office or classroom environments requiring longer cable reach

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 metres
• Connector A: Mini DisplayPort male (gold-plated contacts)
• Connector B: VGA male (gold-plated contacts)
• Cable colour: black
• Signal type: Mini DisplayPort (source) to analogue VGA (display) with internal conversion

How to use

Connect the Mini DisplayPort male end to the Mini DisplayPort output on your laptop or desktop and insert the VGA male end into the VGA input of the monitor or projector. Secure both connectors to ensure firm contact. Switch the display source on the monitor or projector to the VGA input if required. Adjust the output resolution and refresh rate in your computer’s display settings to match the capabilities of the connected VGA device for optimal image quality.

Recommendations

For stable results, route the cable away from large power cables and strong electromagnetic sources. Use appropriate display settings such as common VGA resolutions (e.g., 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x1024) supported by the monitor or projector to avoid scaling artifacts. If no signal is detected, check that the source supports analogue VGA signalling via Mini DisplayPort or enable display output in the system firmware/software.
