Videokabel-adapter EFB Elektronik K5436.2V2, DVI-A naar VGA (D-Sub), 2 m, zwart

EFB Elektronik K5436.2V2 is a 2 m video cable adapter that converts an analog DVI-A output to a VGA (D-Sub) input. The cable provides a direct analog signal path for connecting devices with DVI-A connectors to monitors, projectors or displays that accept VGA. The outer jacket is black and the cable has a compact diameter suitable for desktop and AV cabinet routing.

Advantages

The adapter enables a simple, passive conversion between DVI-A and VGA without requiring active electronics, maintaining analog signal integrity when both source and display support the respective analog pinout. With a 2 m length and a flexible 7.5 mm diameter jacket, the cable balances reach and neat cable management. The black finish reduces visual distraction in professional and home AV setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting analog DVI-A output from computers or graphics cards to VGA monitors
• Linking DVI-A equipment to projectors for presentations
• Replacing or extending existing VGA cabling where an analog DVI source is available

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector 1: DVI-A (analog)
• Connector 2: VGA (D-Sub, 15-pin analog)
• Cable diameter: 7.5 mm
• Colour: Black
• Connection type: Passive analog adapter cable

How to use

Ensure the source device provides a DVI-A analog output and the target display accepts an analog VGA input. Power off both devices before connecting. Insert the DVI-A plug into the source and secure the VGA connector to the display using the thumbscrews. Power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display. If the image does not appear, verify that the source is outputting an analog signal rather than a digital-only DVI mode.

Recommendations

Use this cable where a direct analog conversion is supported by both devices. Avoid routing near high-power mains or strong RF sources to reduce potential interference. For distances beyond 2 m or when connecting digital-only DVI outputs, consider an active converter or appropriate digital cable to ensure signal compatibility and quality.
