Videokabel-adapter ShiverPeaks BS77482-RE 2m HDMI Type-A DVI-D zwart

The ShiverPeaks BS77482-RE is a 2 m video cable adapter with an HDMI Type A (Standard) connector on one end and a DVI-D connector on the other. Designed for direct, single-link digital video transmission, this black adapter supports connections between HDMI-equipped source devices and DVI-D displays or vice versa without converting signal formats. Its 2 m length balances reach and signal integrity for desktop and AV setups.

Advantages

This cable adapter provides a straightforward way to link HDMI sources to DVI‑D displays while maintaining digital video quality. The fixed 2 m length reduces excess cable clutter while offering sufficient distance for most home and office setups. The black exterior offers a neutral appearance that integrates with common AV equipment and monitor rigs. The adapter's direct digital connection avoids unnecessary processing and preserves image clarity for resolutions supported by single-link DVI-D and HDMI.

Suitable for

• Connecting a laptop, media player or desktop GPU with HDMI output to a monitor or projector with a DVI-D input
• Office workstations where a digital video signal between HDMI and DVI-D devices is required
• Meeting rooms and classrooms with mixed HDMI and DVI display equipment
• Temporary AV setups where a short, reliable HDMI–DVI connection is needed

Key specifications

• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector 1: HDMI Type A (Standard), male
• Connector 2: DVI-D, single-link, male
• Signal type: digital video (no analog VGA support)
• Colour: Black

How to use

Ensure both source and display devices are powered off before connecting. Insert the HDMI Type A plug into the HDMI output of the source device and connect the DVI‑D plug to the DVI‑D input of the display. Power on the display and then the source device. Configure the output resolution on the source device to a resolution supported by single-link DVI‑D and your display. No driver installation is required; the adapter functions as a passive cable transmitting the digital video signal between compatible ports.

Recommendations

Use this cable in setups where only digital video is needed; DVI‑D does not carry audio, so a separate audio connection is required if sound is needed. Avoid excessive bending or twisting near the connectors to maintain signal quality and prolong cable life. For resolutions beyond single-link DVI‑D capabilities, verify that your devices support the desired resolution over their HDMI/DVI interfaces or consider a different cable or converter supporting higher bandwidth.
