Viltstift Staedtler 317 WP8-1

The Staedtler 317 WP8-1 felt pen features a fine tip designed to produce precise lines and vibrant color coverage. This water-based marker delivers smooth ink flow and quick drying, suitable for drawing, coloring and writing. Manufactured in Germany, it combines consistent performance with materials that are easy to wash off most fabrics and non-porous surfaces, making it appropriate for both home and school use.

Advantages

The fine conical tip enables accurate line work and detail without frequent re-inking, while the water-based ink minimizes bleed-through on standard paper. Quick-drying formulation reduces smudging during use, and the washable ink simplifies cleanup after creative activities. The pen’s balanced barrel offers comfortable handling for extended drawing or writing sessions.

Suitable for

• Sketching and detailed drawing
• Coloring in illustrations and coloring books
• Hand lettering and notes
• School art projects and classroom activities
• General household labeling and craft work

Key specifications

• Tip type: fine conical point for precise lines
• Ink type: water-based, washable
• Drying: quick-drying formulation
• Barrel: ergonomically shaped for comfortable grip
• Color intensity: vibrant, even coverage
• Suitability: low bleed on standard paper
• Country of manufacture: Germany

How to use

Remove the cap and apply the fine tip to the paper with light, even pressure to achieve thin, precise lines; increase pressure slightly for bolder strokes. For best results use on standard drawing or printer paper to minimize bleed-through. Replace the cap after use to preserve the tip and prevent drying. If ink transfers to skin or washable fabrics, rinse with water and mild detergent.

Recommendations

Store horizontally or with the cap securely closed to maintain ink flow and tip condition. Avoid use on highly absorbent or coated specialty papers to prevent uneven coverage. Keep out of reach of small children when not supervised and follow local waste disposal guidelines for empty pens.
