Vliegenraam-navulrol Tesa 55134-00001-01 1,2 m x 2,5 m glasvezel scheurvast

Tesa fly screen refill roll 1.2 m x 2.5 m is a fiberglass insect screen mesh designed as a tear-resistant replacement for damaged or worn screens. The roll provides a continuous sheet of fiberglass mesh that allows airflow while preventing insects from entering interior spaces. The material maintains its shape and resists stretching, making it suitable for repair and installation in window and door frames where a durable, functional mesh is required.

Advantages

The fiberglass construction offers good dimensional stability and resistance to tearing compared with lightweight fabrics, while still permitting ventilation and visibility. The refill roll format gives flexibility to cut the mesh to required sizes for different frames and applications. The surface is suitable for straightforward fitting with common screen installation tools and accessories, providing a practical solution for extending the service life of existing frames.

Suitable for

• Repairing damaged or torn insect screens on windows
• Replacing worn mesh in sliding doors and patio doors
• Cutting custom-sized panels for frames of various shapes
• DIY home maintenance and seasonal screen replacement

Key specifications

• Material: fiberglass mesh for insect screening
• Dimensions (approx.): 1.2 m width × 2.5 m length
• Physical properties: tear-resistant and dimensionally stable
• Function: allows airflow and visibility while blocking insects
• Processing: can be cut with scissors or a utility knife for custom fitting

How to use

Measure the frame opening and cut the fiberglass mesh from the roll allowing a small overlap for secure fastening. Remove the existing damaged mesh and clean the frame channel. Place the cut mesh across the frame and secure it using appropriate spline, retaining strips or adhesive solutions compatible with the frame. Trim excess material carefully to achieve a neat finish and check that the mesh is taut and free of wrinkles to ensure effective insect protection and unobstructed airflow.

Recommendations

For best results, use standard screen spline and a spline roller suited to the frame channel profile. Store the roll in a dry place away from prolonged UV exposure before installation. When cutting, wear gloves if required to avoid minor abrasions from the cut edges and ensure the mesh is kept clean to preserve visibility and ventilation performance.
