AC power adapter HP 120W 693709-001B compatible with various HP laptops, output 120W is a replacement external power supply designed to provide a stable 120-watt DC output for compatible HP notebook computers. The adapter converts AC mains voltage to the required DC voltage and includes an integrated cable and connector suited for laptops that accept this power level. It is intended for charging laptop batteries and powering the system during operation in home, office, and travel environments.

Advantages

The adapter delivers a rated 120W output to ensure sufficient power for charging and running power-demanding laptops. Its compact external design and single-cable connectivity allow convenient installation and straightforward plug-and-play use. Built-in protection mechanisms regulate voltage and limit current to reduce risk of overvoltage, short circuit, and overheating. The product is compatible with a range of HP laptop models that require a similar power profile and connector type, providing an economical replacement option.

Suitable for

• Replacing a lost or faulty original AC adapter for compatible HP laptops
• Providing a spare power supply for office or home use
• Powering an HP laptop while performing software updates, backups, or intensive tasks
• Carrying as a travel adapter for environments with compatible mains voltage and plug type

Key specifications

• Output power: 120 W
• Output type: DC output with integrated connector cable
• Input voltage: standard AC mains voltage range (universal region compatibility depends on the specific plug and any included adapters)
• Protections: overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, and thermal protection
• Form factor: external desktop-style power brick with cable

How to use

Connect the AC power adapter to a compatible mains outlet using the supplied AC lead or a properly rated mains cable, then plug the adapter’s DC connector securely into the laptop’s power input. Confirm that the laptop recognises external power and that charging indicators (if present) show normal operation. Use the adapter on a flat, well-ventilated surface and avoid obstructing airflow around the power brick. Disconnect from mains before unplugging from the laptop if possible, and handle cables with care to avoid sharp bends or strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Verify your laptop’s required wattage and connector compatibility before purchase. Use the adapter only with devices rated for 120W input and intended connector type. Avoid prolonged exposure of the adapter to moisture, excessive heat, or dusty environments. If the adapter becomes unusually hot, emits odors, or shows visible damage, discontinue use and replace it.
