Voeding HP 150W PFC Smart 4,5mm slank — HP Adptr 150W Pfc Smart 4.5Mm Sl

External power adapter for HP laptops, rated 150W with built-in power factor correction (PFC) and a 4.5 mm slim barrel connector. This adapter provides regulated DC output to power compatible HP notebooks and docking stations, supporting sustained operation and charging under varying loads. It is intended as a replacement for original adapters or as a spare unit for travel and office use, offering the required wattage for high-performance mobile workstations and larger business notebooks.

Advantages

The adapter delivers stable output at 150W, reducing the risk of power-related performance drops during heavy CPU or GPU use. Integrated PFC improves energy efficiency and reduces input-side electrical noise, helping maintain reliable mains behaviour. The slim 4.5 mm barrel connector ensures correct fit with HP devices that use this standard connector, while the external form factor keeps heat away from the laptop chassis and allows easy replacement without internal servicing.

Suitable for

• Charging and powering compatible HP notebooks that require 150W input.
• Use with docking stations or port replicators that accept a 4.5 mm slim barrel connector.
• Replacement adapter for home, office, and travel where original power supplies are lost or damaged.
• Use in environments with variable load demands such as running demanding applications or multiple peripherals.

Key specifications

• Output power: 150 watts.
• Connector type: 4.5 mm slim barrel DC connector.
• Power factor correction: integrated PFC for improved input efficiency.
• Adapter type: external AC-to-DC power supply for laptops.
• Intended use: charging and operating compatible notebooks and docking solutions.

How to use

Connect the adapter to a compatible AC mains outlet using the included mains cable, then insert the 4.5 mm barrel connector into the laptop or docking station power port until it seats securely. Ensure the mains voltage and outlet type match local requirements before use. When connected, the adapter will supply DC power and charge the device battery if supported by the laptop. Disconnect the mains supply before unplugging the DC connector to reduce wear on the connector and avoid electrical arcing.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the adapter with HP devices specified for 150W input and the correct 4.5 mm connector. Avoid exposing the adapter to liquids, extreme temperatures, or prolonged direct sunlight. Allow adequate ventilation around the adapter during use and store it coiled loosely to prevent cable damage. If the device shows unusual heat, noise, or charging behaviour, stop using the adapter and seek a qualified technician.
