Voertuig-GPS-tracker TELTONIKA FMC800 LTE met CAN, digitale ingangen en RS232/RS485-ondersteuning

Teltonika FMC800 LTE is a vehicle GPS tracker designed for fleet and vehicle monitoring. The device provides real-time location tracking over LTE networks and supports CAN bus data reading, multiple digital inputs, and serial interfaces (RS232/RS485) for integration with external devices. FMC800 enables diagnostics, event reporting and connectivity options needed to manage vehicles, monitor driver behavior and streamline operations.

Advantages

The FMC800 combines LTE connectivity with native CAN bus support to read vehicle diagnostics and parameters directly from the vehicle network. Multiple digital inputs allow monitoring of discrete signals such as door status or ignition, while RS232 and RS485 interfaces permit connection to third-party sensors and controllers. The unit is built for continuous vehicle tracking and event reporting, simplifying integration into fleet management systems and improving operational visibility.

Suitable for

• Fleet tracking and management for cars, vans and light trucks
• Vehicle diagnostics and remote parameter monitoring via CAN bus
• Integration with external sensors, fare meters or controllers using RS232/RS485
• Security and event reporting such as unauthorized movement or input-triggered alerts

Key specifications

• Wireless connectivity: LTE cellular communication for real-time tracking
• Vehicle interface: CAN bus data reading for diagnostics and parameter access
• Digital inputs: multiple discrete inputs for status and event monitoring
• Serial interfaces: RS232 and RS485 for external device integration
• Primary function: GPS-based location tracking and event reporting

How to use

Install the FMC800 in the vehicle according to manufacturer guidelines and connect it to the vehicle power supply and CAN bus if diagnostics access is required. Configure cellular and tracking settings through the device management interface or fleet platform, and map digital inputs and serial connections to corresponding events or sensors. Deploy the device in vehicles and verify data transmission, CAN parameters and external device communication using the chosen tracking platform.

Recommendations

Use a compatible fleet management platform to interpret CAN data and serial input streams, and regularly verify firmware updates and SIM connectivity. When integrating RS232/RS485 devices, confirm wiring and signal levels match the connected equipment and test input behavior before full deployment.
