Voltcraft MSW 1200-12-G spanningsomvormer — 1200 W, 12 V DC naar 230 V AC

The Voltcraft MSW 1200-12-G is a 1200 W power inverter that converts 12 V DC (battery or vehicle electrical system) into 230 V AC for powering household appliances, tools and small electronics. Designed as a portable solution, the inverter provides necessary DC input and AC output connections for direct device operation and is suitable for use in vehicles, campsites, mobile workstations and emergency backup scenarios.

Advantages

The Voltcraft MSW 1200-12-G delivers up to 1200 W continuous power from a 12 V DC source, enabling operation of a range of mains-powered devices where standard AC supply is not available. Its compact form factor supports portable use and straightforward connections allow quick setup. The inverter supports practical use cases including camping, on-site repairs and temporary power supply during outages.

Suitable for

• Powering small household appliances from a vehicle or battery
• Running power tools at mobile work sites
• Providing temporary AC power for camping and outdoor activities
• Emergency backup for essential electronics during power outages

Key specifications

• Output power: 1200 W (continuous)
• Input voltage: 12 V DC
• Output voltage: 230 V AC
• Designed for portable and vehicle-based use
• Includes DC input and AC output connections for direct device operation

How to use

Connect the inverter to a suitable 12 V DC battery or vehicle power outlet following the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Attach the DC input terminals securely and verify polarity before powering the unit. Plug 230 V AC devices into the AC output sockets and switch the inverter on. Monitor the connected load to ensure total power consumption stays within the 1200 W capacity and observe any built-in indicators or protection features during operation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cabling and fuses between the battery and inverter to prevent voltage drops and reduce risk. Avoid connecting devices that exceed the inverter’s continuous power rating and allow ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. For extended use, consult the vehicle or battery manufacturer guidelines to ensure adequate power supply and charging.
