Vóórpolijstborstel Bosch Clean for Metal Tapered Brushes Crimped Wire

The Bosch Clean for Metal Tapered Brush is a pre-polishing accessory designed for metalworking tasks. With a 100 mm diameter and crimped knotted wire, this tapered cup brush is made to remove rust, scale and light residues while preparing metal surfaces for finishing. The sloping wire arrangement gives better access to grooves, edges and other confined areas than a standard cup brush. Maximum rotational speed: 12,500 RPM (MPN 2608622057, EAN 3165140087230).

Advantages

The tapered shape provides improved access to tight spots and edges. Crimped knotted wire offers durable brushing performance for light cleaning and pre-polishing tasks. Compact 100 mm diameter balances reach and control for working on small to medium metal parts. Compatible with standard angle grinders that accept cup brushes rated up to 12,500 RPM.

How to use

Mount the tapered brush securely on a compatible angle grinder according to the tool manufacturer's instructions and the brush's arbor fitting. Start the tool at low speed to verify secure attachment, then bring the rotating brush gently to the workpiece. Use light, steady pressure and move the brush along the surface, allowing the crimped wires to remove rust and prepare the metal. Avoid excessive force or side loads that could deform the brush fibers. Stop the tool before setting it down and inspect the brush for wear periodically.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment — eye protection, gloves and a dust mask. Use the brush only within the specified maximum speed (12,500 RPM) and with compatible tools. Replace the brush if wires are excessively worn or damaged to maintain safe and effective performance.
