The Extralink Rackmount cabinet 42U 600x800 Black is a freestanding rack designed to organize and secure network and server equipment in offices, server rooms and CCTV control rooms. Constructed from cold‑rolled steel with a tempered glass front door that can be hinged left or right, the cabinet provides 42U of rack space within a 2000 mm high frame. Vertical rails are clearly marked for unit placement, side panels are removable with snap fasteners for maintenance access, and the cabinet includes a keyed lock and adjustable feet for stable positioning on uneven floors.

Advantages

This rack offers a high load capacity and stable construction suitable for dense equipment setups, supporting a wide range of IT and surveillance hardware while maintaining a compact 600 x 800 mm footprint. The tempered glass front door allows visual inspection without opening the cabinet, and the keyed lock improves physical security. Multiple cable outlets at the base and additional conduits in the ceiling minimize cable strain and simplify routing. How to use

Place the cabinet on a leveled surface and adjust the feet to ensure stability. Remove the side panels using the snap fasteners when installing rails, equipment or cable trays. Mount devices to the marked vertical rails according to their U height, securing each device with appropriate rack screws and cages. Route power and network cables through the lower outlets or top conduits to reduce strain; use cable ties or management accessories to keep bundles tidy. Close and lock the front door after installation to protect equipment.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling and cable organization, leave sufficient clearance around the cabinet for airflow and consider installing ventilation or fan units in the ceiling outlet when populating the rack with heat‑generating equipment. Use labeled patch panels and dedicated power distribution units to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime.
