Wandplaat / schakelaarafdekking Merten 389119, wit thermoplast, 1-delig

Merten 389119 is a white, single-piece wall plate manufactured from durable thermoplastic. The plate is designed to cover standard switch openings and protect the switch mechanism while providing a neutral, unobtrusive finish that integrates with a variety of interior styles. It is supplied as one piece and is compatible with switches from different brands, offering a practical cover solution for both residential and commercial installations.

Advantages

The thermoplastic construction ensures impact resistance and long-term dimensional stability, while the white color provides a neutral appearance that suits many décor schemes. Being a one-piece plate simplifies installation and maintenance, reduces the number of visible seams, and limits the accumulation of dust around the switch opening. Compatibility with a wide range of switch mechanisms allows flexible use across different electrical fittings.

Suitable for

• Covering standard single switch openings in homes and apartments
• Use in offices, retail spaces and public buildings where a neutral finish is required
• Replacement of damaged or discoloured switch covers during renovation

Key specifications

• Material: thermoplastic
• Color: white
• Configuration: single-piece, single-gang cover
• Compatibility: fits standard switch openings and is compatible with switches from various manufacturers
• Finish: smooth surface for easy cleaning

How to use

Before installation, switch off the circuit at the breaker and verify power is off. Remove the existing cover plate by unscrewing the mounting screws and detach it from the switch mechanism. Position the Merten white thermoplastic wall plate over the switch opening, aligning screw holes with the switch frame, then fasten the plate with appropriate screws until it sits flush with the wall. After installation, restore power and check switch operation. For painting or wall treatments, install the plate last to avoid damage.

Recommendations

For safe and reliable installation follow local electrical regulations and, if unsure, use a qualified electrician. Clean the surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that can damage the thermoplastic. Periodically check that mounting screws remain secure to prevent loosening over time.
