Wandplaat / schakelaarafdekking Merten 478119 wit, uit één deel bestaande afdekking voor compatibele Merten-schakelaars

Merten 478119 is a white single-piece wall plate designed to fit compatible Merten switches. The cover provides a clean, uniform finish for switch installations, conceals internal wiring and mounting hardware, and is supplied as one unit. Made to match typical Merten switch styles and dimensions, this wall plate is intended for repair, replacement or updating of interior switch fittings where a single-gang cover is required.

Advantages

The single-piece construction simplifies installation and cleaning while reducing visible seams and gaps around the switch. The neutral white color ensures visual consistency with common interior color schemes and switch designs. The plate protects the switch mechanism and wiring from dust and accidental contact and helps maintain a neat appearance after installation.

Suitable for

• Replacing cracked or discolored switch covers in residential rooms
• Updating switch appearance during interior renovations
• Use in single-gang switch installations that match Merten dimensions
• Maintenance tasks where a quick, straightforward cover replacement is needed

Key specifications

• Color: white
• Format: single-piece cover for one switch (single-gang)
• Compatibility: designed for compatible Merten switches and frames
• Material: durable, easy-to-clean surface (plastic)
• Finish: smooth, matte/neutral surface suitable for interior use

How to use

Before installation, switch off the circuit at the breaker and confirm power is isolated. Remove the existing cover by unscrewing or unclipping according to the current mounting system, then position the Merten 478119 wall plate over the switch mechanism and align mounting holes. Secure the plate using the original screws or compatible fasteners until it sits flush with the wall. Restore power and verify switch operation. For best results, ensure the underlying frame and switch are properly aligned and free of debris before fitting the new cover.

Recommendations

Use only on compatible Merten switches and frames with matching dimensions. Avoid overtightening screws to prevent cracking the cover. Clean the plate with a soft cloth and mild detergent; do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. If the switch mechanism shows wear or damage, consider repairing or replacing the internal components before fitting a new cover.
