Waterkoeler voor grafische kaart Alphacool WAK Core voor GeForce RTX 5080, compatibel met TUF Gaming backplate

Alphacool WAK Core for GeForce RTX 5080 is a full-cover water block designed specifically for the RTX 5080 reference PCB layouts and TUF Gaming backplate compatibility. The block routes coolant across the GPU die, memory and VRM areas via dedicated liquid channels to replace stock air cooling. It is intended for integration into custom loop liquid cooling systems and provides a quieter, lower-temperature alternative to air coolers, which supports more stable performance under sustained loads.

Advantages

The Alphacool WAK Core offers targeted liquid cooling to the GPU core, memory modules and voltage regulation components, delivering improved heat transfer compared with standard air cooling. Its full-cover design ensures uniform contact and coolant flow across critical areas, which helps reduce operating temperatures and noise. Compatibility with TUF Gaming backplates simplifies installation when using those backplate layouts and helps preserve the card’s original structural support.

Suitable for

• Custom loop water-cooled gaming rigs and workstations
• Users seeking lower GPU temperatures and reduced fan noise
• Systems intended for extended high-load workloads or overclocking
• PC builds that use GeForce RTX 5080 cards with TUF Gaming backplate layout

Key specifications

• Full-cover water block for GPU, memory and VRM cooling
• Designed for GeForce RTX 5080 PCB layout
• Compatible with TUF Gaming backplate layouts
• Liquid cooling channels for direct coolant contact with heat-generating components
• Intended for integration into custom loop cooling systems

How to use

Prepare the graphics card by removing the factory air cooler and cleaning thermal interfaces according to the card manufacturer’s service guidelines. Mount the water block onto the PCB, ensuring correct alignment with the GPU die, memory and VRM contact points and compatibility with the TUF Gaming backplate if used. Apply appropriate thermal interface materials to the GPU and memory as specified by Alphacool, then secure the block using the supplied mounting hardware. Connect the inlet and outlet ports of the block to the custom loop tubing, bleed the loop of air, and verify leak-tight connections before powering the system.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-resistant coolant formulated for PC liquid cooling and follow Alphacool’s maintenance guidance for interval flushing and inspection. Verify motherboard and case clearance for the block and tubing routing, and monitor temperatures after installation to confirm expected performance gains. Avoid using the block with incompatible PCB variants or without proper installation of thermal pads and mounting hardware.
