Waterpomptang Knipex 88 01 250 SB, verstelbare bek, 250 mm

Knipex 88 01 250 SB water pump pliers are 250 mm adjustable-jaw pliers engineered for gripping, turning and holding pipes, fittings and a wide range of fasteners. The multi-position adjustable joint lets you set the jaw opening quickly and securely, while the robust forged steel construction and precision-machined gripping surfaces deliver consistent performance under repeated use. These pliers combine leverage, jaw stability and wear resistance for general plumbing, installation and maintenance tasks.

Advantages

The adjustable jaw design offers secure multi-position gripping without slipping, enabling quick adaptation to different diameters. Forged steel construction with precision-hardened teeth increases durability and maintains grip over time. The ergonomic handle profile provides reliable leverage and control during turning and holding operations. Corrosion-resistant finish reduces wear in humid or wet environments commonly encountered in plumbing and maintenance work.

Suitable for

• Gripping and turning pipes and plumbing fittings
• Holding and tightening nuts and bolts of various sizes
• General installation and maintenance tasks in trade and building services
• Mechanical repairs where adjustable jaw grip is required

Key specifications

• Overall length: 250 mm
• Adjustable jaw with multiple size positions for variable diameters
• Forged steel construction for high mechanical strength
• Precision-machined serrated gripping surfaces for secure hold
• Ergonomic handles designed for effective leverage and control
• Corrosion-resistant finish suitable for moist working conditions

How to use

Open the jaws and select the appropriate adjustment position for the workpiece. Place the pliers on the pipe, fitting or fastener so the serrated gripping surfaces make full contact. Apply steady hand force to turn, hold or tighten while maintaining body alignment to increase leverage and avoid slipping. For safe and efficient work, reposition the pliers as needed to maintain optimal jaw engagement and avoid excessive force that could damage the workpiece or tool.

Recommendations

Use these pliers for tasks requiring strong, adjustable grip; avoid using them as a hammer or on soft materials that could be damaged by serrated jaws. Keep the joint clean and periodically apply light lubrication to maintain smooth adjustment. Inspect gripping surfaces for wear and replace the tool if teeth become rounded or compromised.
