The ITEC i-tec SOLOMON 500 4K PDAF is a compact 4K Ultra HD webcam that captures video at up to 3840×2160 resolution using an approximately 8.29 MP sensor. Designed for desktop and laptop use, the camera connects via USB and includes a USB‑C to USB‑A cable. Advantages

PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) enables fast, precise and stable focusing with minimal focus hunting, keeping the subject sharp even when moving or changing distance from the camera. Automatic image optimization — including Automatic Exposure (AE), Automatic White Balance (AWB) and Automatic Black Level Control (ABLC) — adjusts brightness, color temperature and black levels in real time to maintain natural skin tones and balanced contrast without manual intervention. Plug & Play USB connectivity ensures easy setup across supported systems, while dual integrated microphones capture clear audio for conferencing and presentations.

Recommendations

For best results, position the webcam in stable lighting that illuminates the face from the front or side. Avoid strong backlighting to prevent silhouettes; if necessary enable additional room lighting or a diffuse front light. Use the clip mount to secure the camera at eye level and keep the subject within the PDAF focus range. Verify your video application settings to ensure 4K resolution and an appropriate frame rate are selected if supported by your system.
