Wegwerpbatterij Varta 4120 D alkaline

The Varta 4120 D Alkaline is a single-use D-size battery designed to supply steady 1.5 V power to a wide range of devices. It measures 61.5 mm in height and 34.2 mm in diameter and has a cylindrical form factor compatible with common D-size designations such as AM1, MN1300, LR20 and similar types. Supplied as a pack of two, this alkaline cell is intended for applications where long-lasting, reliable disposable power is required.

Advantages

This alkaline battery offers stable voltage output and consistent performance over its discharge cycle, suitable for devices with moderate to high current draw. The D-size cell provides higher capacity compared to smaller sizes, extending runtime for portable equipment. Its standardized dimensions and chemistry ensure compatibility with a broad range of household and professional devices. The packaged pair provides immediate replacement or spare power when needed.

Suitable for

• Flashlights and torches
• Portable radios and boomboxes
• Toys and motorized hobby devices
• Campsite and outdoor equipment (lanterns, portable stoves with electronic igniters)
• Some medical devices and measurement instruments requiring disposable D cells

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the battery into the device following the polarity markings (+ and −) indicated in the battery compartment. Ensure clean battery contacts on both the cell and device to maintain reliable connection. Replace both batteries simultaneously when performance drops to prevent uneven discharge. Dispose of used alkaline batteries according to local regulations and recycling programs; do not incinerate or attempt to recharge single-use cells.

Recommendations

Store unused batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid mixing new and used batteries or different battery chemistries in the same device. For devices with high continuous current draw, check manufacturer guidance to confirm suitability of alkaline D cells and consider using fresh cells for optimal runtime.
