Windscherm Rode WS9-P voor microfoons — windscherm, licht ontwerp

The WS9-P is a deluxe windshield designed for RØDE VideoMicro, VideoMic Me, VideoMic Me-L and VideoMic Me-C microphones. Combining open-cell foam with an acoustically transparent synthetic fur cover, it reduces wind noise in outdoor recordings while preserving the microphone's audio clarity. The windshield is lightweight and easy to fit or remove, making it suitable for portable field use.

Advantages

The WS9-P provides effective reduction of wind noise without significantly affecting frequency response thanks to its open-cell foam core and acoustically transparent synthetic fur. Its lightweight construction keeps added bulk minimal, and the design allows quick fitting and removal for fast setup and portability.

Suitable for

• Field recording and outdoor video capture
• On-camera interviews and vlogging
• Location sound for short shoots and run-and-gun production

How to use

Remove by sliding the windshield off when indoor recording or when wind protection is not required. Store the windshield in a clean, dry place to preserve the foam and fur.

Recommendations

For best results in strong wind, position the microphone so the capsule faces away from the prevailing wind direction in addition to using the WS9-P. Avoid compressing the fur or foam during storage to maintain acoustic performance.
