YALE HOME YKB/200 is a compact wall-mounted key box with a mechanical combination lock designed for secure, controlled storage of a small number of keys. The unit’s metal housing and simple rotary combination mechanism provide a non-electronic solution for homes, small businesses and rental properties where easy authorized access and reliable protection are required. Its compact dimensions allow discreet installation on walls near entrances or inside utility rooms.

Advantages

The mechanical combination lock requires no batteries or wiring, reducing maintenance and ensuring access even during power outages. The durable metal construction resists everyday wear and provides a stable mounting point. Compact design conserves space while still accommodating several keys and a small key ring. The wall-mount format keeps keys off counters and reduces risk of loss or unauthorized removal when installed in a controlled location.

Suitable for

• Homeowners who need shared access for family members or service personnel
• Landlords and short-term rental hosts managing guest key handover
• Small businesses needing a simple, low-maintenance key storage solution
• Maintenance teams or contractors requiring temporary controlled access

Key specifications

• Type: Wall-mounted mechanical key box with combination lock
• Capacity: Designed to hold a small number of keys and a key ring
• Locking mechanism: Manual rotary combination dial (no electronics)
• Material: Metal housing for durability
• Installation: Surface mount with mounting points for screws
• Finish: Protective coating to resist corrosion and daily wear

How to use

Mount the key box on a stable vertical surface using screws through the provided mounting points, choosing a discreet but accessible location near the entrance or inside a utility area. Set and operate the mechanical combination according to the included instructions: rotate the dial to the preset code, open the front panel, place keys inside on a small ring or hook, then close and scramble the combination to secure the unit. Share the combination only with authorized users and periodically verify correct operation and mounting tightness.

Recommendations

Install the key box at a height that limits casual access by passersby and out of direct sight from public areas. For rental or multi-user scenarios, change the combination between occupants and perform occasional checks for corrosion or loose fittings. Avoid storing high-value items or documents inside; use the unit specifically for key storage and controlled access purposes.
