Zaag Metabo KS 18 LTX 57

The Metabo KS 18 LTX 57 is a cordless circular saw designed for universal use on construction sites and renovation work. It cuts wood with a blade diameter of 165 mm (16.5 cm) and achieves a maximum idle speed of 4,600 RPM, enabling cutting depths up to 57 mm. The tool is lightweight (approx. 2.8 kg) and runs on an 18 V battery; an aluminium base plate accepts guide rails from Metabo and other manufacturers.

Advantages

The saw combines high cutting performance with low weight for easier handling. A fast brake stops the blade quickly to improve safety, while a clearly visible cutting indicator supports precise sawing after the initial cut. The handle has a non-slip soft-grip surface for secure guidance. The aluminium base plate allows use with compatible guide rails, and dust extraction is possible by connecting an all-purpose vacuum cleaner.

Suitable for

• Cross cuts and rip cuts in solid wood and panel materials
• On-site construction and renovation work
• Precision cutting with guide rails from Metabo and other manufacturers
• Work where fast blade stop and compact handling are required

How to use

Fit a compatible 165 mm saw blade according to the manufacturer's instructions and secure the 18 V battery before switching on. Adjust the cutting depth and bevel angle (up to 50° with a snap-in point at 45°) to the required settings, re-adjust the 0° position if necessary for highest precision, and align the aluminium base plate on the workpiece or on a guide rail. Start the saw, make the initial cut while observing the cutting indicator, and complete the cut with steady forward movement. After use, engage the brake and remove the battery before changing the blade or performing maintenance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety goggles, hearing protection and cut-resistant gloves). For dust reduction and cleaner working conditions, connect an all-purpose vacuum cleaner to the extraction port. Ensure blades are suitable for the material and are mounted and tightened correctly. Follow all safety instructions in the Metabo user manual.
