Advantages

This Victorinox Farmer X Alox delivers a strong cutting edge and a stable handle thanks to its Alox scales, which are lightweight yet durable and resist wear. The integrated can opener with a screwdriver tip increases the tool's versatility without adding bulk. Its straightforward tool set is easy to maintain, and the secure slip joint mechanism keeps the blade and implements reliably in place during use. The slim profile fits comfortably in pockets and is suitable for long-term outdoor carry.

Suitable for

• Camping and hiking tasks such as food preparation and small repairs
• Everyday carry for opening packages, cutting rope, and general utility
• Gardening and small outdoor chores where a compact knife is needed
• Fieldwork where a lightweight, corrosion-resistant tool is preferred

Key specifications

• Blade type: large straight-edged blade suitable for slicing and general cutting
• Main materials: stainless steel blades and aluminium Alox scales for improved durability
• Tools included: large blade, can opener with screwdriver tip
• Mechanism: slip joint folding design with manual opening
• Form factor: compact pocket-sized multi-tool with slim profile

How to use

Open the required implement fully until it locks into the normal open position of a slip joint. Use the large blade for controlled cutting actions, keeping your fingers clear of the folding path. The can opener is designed for manual opening of tin cans and includes a screwdriver tip for small screw adjustments; apply steady, controlled force and work on a stable surface when using these tools. After use, fold each implement back into the handle and wipe any residue from blade and tools to prevent corrosion and maintain smooth operation.

Recommendations

Regularly clean and lightly oil the pivot points to maintain smooth opening and closing. Sharpen the blade with appropriate sharpening tools following the original edge angle. Avoid using the blade as a pry bar or for heavy-duty tasks beyond its intended design to preserve the integrity of the slip joint and the Alox scales.
