How to use

Connect the DS2208 to your POS using the supplied auto-host detect cable — the scanner will identify the correct interface automatically. Point the scanner at the barcode and press the trigger for a point-and-shoot read; omni-directional scanning and PRZM decoding improve read success regardless of barcode condition. For customization, use Zebra’s 123Scan utility to generate a single programming barcode that configures device settings with one scan.

Recommendations

For reliable daily performance, mount the scanner in a secure position at the checkout and avoid exposing it to heavy dust or direct water spray. Use compatible USB or RS-232 ports and follow the 123Scan tool instructions for firmware updates and custom configuration.
