Zelfklevende weefseltape Tesa 53949, wit, 50 mm × 50 m

Tesa Fabric Adhesive Tape 53949 is a white cloth tape 50 mm wide and 50 m long designed for repairs, bundling, surface protection and general-purpose fixing. The tape pairs a resilient fabric backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide good conformability on irregular surfaces and a tear-resistant finish suitable for temporary and semi-permanent indoor applications where a durable cloth tape is required.

Advantages

The fabric backing offers flexibility and can follow contours and corners without creasing, while the adhesive ensures reliable initial tack and holding power on a variety of substrates. Its tear-resistant structure allows hand tearing along the length, speeding up application. The white color provides discreet appearance on light surfaces and simple visual contrast when needed for marking. The tape balances conformability with adequate tensile strength for general repair and bundling tasks.

Suitable for

• Temporary repairs of torn textiles, cords and soft materials
• Bundling and securing cables, hoses and lightweight bundles
• Protecting surfaces during painting, renovation or assembly work
• General-purpose fixing and masking in indoor environments

Key specifications

• Color: white
• Backing material: cloth/fabric
• Adhesive type: pressure-sensitive adhesive
• Width: 50 mm
• Length: 50 m
• Typical use: indoor, temporary to semi-permanent applications
• Properties: conformable, tear-resistant, hand-tearable

How to use

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose particles before application. Measure and cut or tear the required length of tape, press the tape firmly onto the substrate and smooth out any air pockets to improve adhesion. For curved or irregular surfaces, apply with light tension to follow contours, then press down along the edges to secure. To remove, peel back slowly at a low angle to reduce residue; for long-term adhesion on delicate surfaces, test on a small area first.

Recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use within the recommended storage period for best adhesive performance. For heavy-load bundling or exterior exposure, consider a product specifically designed for those conditions.
