3M GPT-020F25 tape geschikt voor binnen 50 m polyester transparant

3M GPT-020F25 Transparent Polyester duct tape is intended for indoor fastening and protection tasks where a clear, thin adhesive layer is required. The tape is made from transparent polyester film with a 50 m roll length, 25 mm width and a nominal thickness of 0.2 mm. It is specified to perform across a temperature range from 90°C to 190°C, offering stability for bonding, masking and light sealing applications in controlled indoor environments.

Advantages

The transparent polyester construction provides visual continuity while maintaining tensile strength and dimensional stability. Its thin 0.2 mm profile allows for close conforming to substrate contours and reduces bulk on joints. The specified operating temperature range ensures the adhesive and carrier remain functional during common indoor processes that involve elevated temperatures, such as heat-assisted sealing or moderate thermal cycling. The 50 m length reduces the need for frequent roll changes in regular tasks.

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of oils, dust or loose particles before application. Cut the required length of tape and apply it by pressing firmly along the length to ensure full contact and adhesion. Smooth from the center outward to eliminate air pockets. For curved or irregular surfaces, apply with light tension and press to conform the tape to the contour. If thermal processes are part of the workflow, confirm compatibility with the stated temperature range to avoid adhesive degradation.

Recommendations

Store rolls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For best adhesion, apply at room temperature and allow a short dwell time if higher initial bond strength is required. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and outdoor weathering, as this product is formulated for indoor use.
