3M koud krimpkous EPDM 42,6-93,7 mm, L229mm 8430.9 (7100002713)

Sealing and insulating electrical connections in harsh environments often requires heat, which can be impractical or unsafe. This 3M cold shrink tube provides a reliable solution without any heating tools, using a pre-expanded EPDM rubber sleeve that shrinks to form a tight, weatherproof seal when the inner core is removed.

Who is it for

Electricians, maintenance technicians, and installers working on low-voltage cable joints, terminations, or repairs where heat shrink is not an option. It suits outdoor, underground, or industrial applications needing moisture sealing and mechanical protection.

Main features

• Cold shrink installation: simply pull out the core, no heat gun or torch required.
• Wide application range: fits cable diameters from 42.6 mm to 93.7 mm.
• EPDM rubber material offers excellent UV, weather, and chemical resistance.
• High flexibility and dielectric strength for reliable electrical insulation up to 1 kV.
• Operating temperature from -40°C to +90°C, suitable for extreme conditions.

Tips

Ensure the cable surface is clean and dry before installation. Position the tube over the connection, then pull the core in a steady motion to allow even shrinking. For best sealing, overlap the tube ends onto the cable jacket by at least 25 mm.
