3M Optime III gehoorbescherming 35 dB

The 3M Optime III 35 dB ear defenders are designed to provide effective hearing protection in high-noise environments. With a noise reduction rating of 35 dB, these over-ear protectors combine a compact, low-profile shape with soft foam-filled cushions and a padded headband to deliver a balance of attenuation and comfort for extended wear. The black and red finish offers a clear, professional appearance for work sites, shooting ranges, and industrial settings.

Advantages

These ear defenders offer a high level of attenuation suitable for very loud situations while remaining lightweight and comfortable for long shifts. The foam cushions conform to the ear area to reduce pressure points and improve seal; the compact cup design improves compatibility with other personal protective equipment. Materials are chosen for durability and routine maintenance, and the headband provides adjustable sizing for secure fit on different head shapes.

Suitable for

• Industrial manufacturing, metalworking and heavy machinery operation
• Shooting ranges and firearm training
• Construction sites and demolition work
• Lawn care, landscaping and use of powered outdoor equipment
• Any environment with prolonged exposure to high-level noise

Key specifications

• Noise reduction/attenuation: 35 dB (NRR equivalent)
• Design: over-ear, low-profile cups
• Cushion material: soft foam-filled ear cushions for improved comfort
• Headband: padded, adjustable for different head sizes
• Color: black and red finish
• Intended user: adult

How to use

Position the ear cups over the ears and adjust the headband until the cushions sit evenly and form a comfortable seal against the head. Ensure no hair, glasses frames, or other obstructions break the seal between the cushion and the skin. For optimum protection, fit the defenders before entering noisy areas and do not remove them until you are clear of hazardous noise levels. Regularly inspect cushions and headband for wear and replace components if the seal or comfort degrades.

Recommendations

Use these ear defenders when noise levels are high enough to require protection for hearing health. Combine with other hearing conservation measures such as noise monitoring and administrative controls. Clean cushions with a mild detergent solution and allow to dry before use; replace cushions periodically according to manufacturer maintenance guidance or when damaged.
