ADATA EX500 HDD/SSD-behuizing zwart, rood 2,5 inch

The ADATA EX500 AEX500U3-CRD is a 2.5" HDD/SSD external enclosure designed for gamers and power users who need fast, portable storage. With a black-and-red finish and tool-free installation, it converts a single 2.5" SATA III drive into an external USB 3.1 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) device that offers near-internal performance for game installs and large file transfers.

Advantages

The enclosure uses a dedicated controller to optimize SATA 6Gb/s to USB 3.1 conversion, minimizing lag and providing high transfer rates comparable to internal drives. Tool-free assembly and a detachable locking mechanism let you install and swap drives in minutes without screws or tools. Its impact-resistant wrap has been tested against desktop-height drops for added durability.

Suitable for

• Expanding game storage for consoles or gaming PCs
• Portable backups and large file transfers
• Temporarily using internal 2.5" SSDs/HDDs as external drives
• Quick drive swaps for data migration or testing

How to use

Open the enclosure, insert a compatible 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into the SATA connector, and close the case until it locks. Connect the enclosure to a computer or console using a USB 3.1 cable. The drive will be recognized by the host operating system; format it if necessary. To swap drives, unlock the enclosure using the sliding lock, remove the installed drive, and repeat the process with a different 2.5" drive.

Recommendations

For best performance, connect to a USB 3.1 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) port and use SATA III (6Gb/s) SSDs for faster load times. Remove the detachable lock only when you need to swap drives and avoid exposing the enclosure to repeated drops or heavy impacts despite its impact-resistant design.
