3M PF238W9B Blickschutzfilter 60,5 cm (23,8 inch) monitor frameloze blickschutzfilter

3M Privacy Filter PF238W9B for 23.8" widescreen monitors narrows the viewing angle to protect on-screen information. Designed for frameless LCD monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio, this black translucent filter uses microlouver technology to block side views outside a 60-degree viewing cone while preserving a high-resolution image on the front. The filter is reversible: one glossy side and one matte side that reduces glare and helps hide fingerprints. It is easy to attach, remove and clean, and adds a durable layer of protection against dust and scratches.

Advantages

The microlouver technology provides effective "black out" privacy from side views beyond the 60-degree angle, while maintaining clear on-axis viewing. The filter is reversible between a glossy surface for maximum clarity and a matte side to reduce reflections and conceal fingerprints. It also reduces approximately 35% of blue light transmission and helps minimize screen reflections for improved image clarity. Some devices retain touch compatibility. The product is 100% hand inspected and adds scratch and dust protection to the display.

• 23.8" widescreen frameless LCD monitors (16:9)

How to use

Clean the monitor surface before applying the privacy filter. Align the filter to the screen edges on your 23.8" widescreen monitor and follow the included attachment method (adhesive tabs or frame-fit, depending on the package). Choose the glossy side for maximum image clarity or the matte side to reduce glare and hide fingerprints. To remove, gently peel the filter away from the screen and store it flat to avoid creases. Clean the filter surface with a soft, lint-free cloth and manufacturer-recommended cleaning solution.

Recommendations

For optimal privacy, position the monitor so that primary viewers face the screen directly; the privacy effect works for side angles outside the 60-degree viewing cone. Use the matte side in brightly lit environments to reduce reflections, and follow 3M cleaning instructions to maintain scratch resistance and optical clarity.
